sundarijal located 15 kilometres (9 mi) northeast of nepal s capital, kathmandu. west of gagalphedi, east of nayapati , baluwa, , north of aalapot. vdc touches nuwakot , sindhulpalchok districts north.


sundarijal covers area of 5.18 square kilometres (2 sq mi). bagmati river flows through vdc, joined shyalmati , nagmati rivers. largely hilly in terrain few flat areas, vdc covered forests. shivapuri national park covers large amounts of sundarijal.

the climate of sundarijal temperate. average summer 25.5˚c while winter 0˚c.
