in 1972 milford joined broadway cast of play lenny, life of actor lenny bruce. in 1974 cast jenny anderson in musical shenandoah, based on oscar nominated 1965 film of same name in role played rosemary forsyth. shenandoah opened on broadway on january 7, 1975 , nominated tony award best musical. performance, milford nominated first drama desk award best featured actress, losing co-star donna theodore.


off-broadway in 1971, milford starred judith opposite richard gere in long time coming , long time gone, musical artist richard fariña. milford has appeared in felix (1974), fishing (1981) michael weller, , territorial rites (1983). has performed in revue show called second hottest show in town.


in 2013, milford played role of deborah in harold pinter play kind of alaska @ cocoon theatre in rhinebeck, new york.
