at next parliamentary elections ndsv didn t reach enough votes form alone government, in fact bsp gained largest share of votes, followed ndsv. , because none of parties had enough seats in parliament establish government on own after more month of negotiations initiated president parvanov forming of coalition government needed eu joining, coalition formed between bsp, ndsv , mrf (movement rights , freedoms). although divided deep ideological , political differences, 3 parties united major goal: accomplishing reforms necessary joining european union in 2007. ineffective administration , high-level corruption remained serious problems limiting entrance of foreign businesses , entrepreneurs in country. additionally, sergei stanishev s government caught in last months world financial crisis denied existence , refused initiate steps protecting bulgarian economy received wide disapproval.
