the 3 vessels in fleet carry both vehicles (passenger cars, buses, rvs, tractor trailers, motorcycles, , bicycles) , foot passengers. each has capacity of 100 cars, selling out in advance during popular summer weekends (although passenger capacity not). advance reservations accepted.

the ferry s terminal buildings substantially overhauled in 2000–01. new cape may terminal replaced existing structure, built in 1988. lewes terminal, built in 1988, expanded , renovated @ same time. both terminals feature unique, recognizable towers, contain elevators , staircases connecting terminal buildings glass-enclosed walkways. walkways allow foot passengers board vessel directly on second deck, avoiding vehicles driving onto car deck below.
the terminal buildings feature gift shops, food courts, bars, restaurants, ticketing , information booths, , occasional history or art exhibits.
