clowney signed new york jets on october 3, 2007. released on october 23, , signed jets practice squad 2 days later. however, released practice squad on december 11. re-signed jets on january 15, 2008.


2008

in 2008 preseason game clowney led receivers 4 receptions 163 yards , 2 touchdowns. finished preseason catching 8 passes 222 yards , 2 touchdowns. however, clowney injured collar bone, , didn t have first career nfl reception until week 15 against buffalo bills, when had one-handed catch went 26 yards.


2009 season

clowney caught 14 passes 191 yards. had 1 touchdown catch.


2010

the jets waived clowney on september 5, 2010. clowney re-signed team on september 14, 2010 following week 1 matchup against baltimore ravens.


clowney, along teammate patrick turner, released on october 4, 2010, make room defensive tackle howard green , wide receiver santonio holmes, returning four-game suspension.
