the winthrop arbella ball house s annual spring formal dance. named after arbella, ship upon first john winthrop ventured new world. ball typically features live band playing under beautiful tent before temporary dance floor set in gore courtyard, , reception in winthrop junior common room.

thropstock winthrop s annual spring carnival, held in late april or may. thropstock typically features blow-up rides , games in courtyard, picnic lunch, cotton candy, , live music harvard student bands. recent performers include plan b type s, long princess, , others.
