andhra pradesh has second longest coastline in country , longest coastline on eastern coast. vishakapatnam port, major port operated central government fifth busiest port in country. keeping in mind shift of trade towards india s eastern coast, government developing 14 non-major ports in state, out of 5 operational. there huge scope inland water transportation in state through network of river interlinking canals being developed. however, current status of minimal.
