as of may 2017, pep band rehearses 4:45-6:00 pm every monday in fischell band center during regular fall , spring semesters. rehearsals typically run each of 2 conductors taking turns going on 1 2 sets of 3 songs each, short break in between conductors. important announcements made pep band manager during break.

the band performs @ sporting events weekends, many weekends in spring semester containing 2 or more events in single day. if band scheduled perform @ 2 conflicting times, pep band manager splits group based upon instrumentation , priority points. attending less popular events (e.g. women s basketball) rewarded more priority points more popular ones (e.g. men s ice hockey.) gives new members of band chance accumulate priority points , helps assure instrumentation @ less popular events.

every december, pep band meets , elects board next calendar year. positions are:

manager: responsible logistics band, including arranging accommodations, travel, , tickets away games, , being band s public representative
treasurer: responsible keeping records of band expenditures , formulating budgeting requests in association big red bands alumni association (brbaa) , cornell student assembly finance commission
librarian: makes sure copies of music distributed members
secretary: publicizes pep band events , keeps minutes of board meetings
historian: takes pictures , otherwise records or maintains information band posterity
equipment chair: works alongside big red marching band equipment chair maintain or order instruments band

in addition, 2 student conductors elected @ end of each semester serve next semester. [1]

the pep band allocated 51 tickets home hockey games, , travels 25 41 members away games. typical instrumentation home hockey game might follows:
