in 2003 bruce , erica driscoll began recording songs in parents basement turn out astaire demos. songs took stylistically more left of center pop sound. demos sent andy chase of ivy loved songs , wanted produce duo @ studio, stratosphere sound, in new york. after working chase in studio siblings relocated new york , released first ep, don t whisper lies, on own label.


the band toured ivy, stars, , robbers on high street in 2005. in middle of tour lawyers fred astaire estate threatened sue if duo did not change name. lacking money afford legal fees changed name blondfire.


throughout career driscoll has continued collaborate andy chase. first playing keyboards in ivy, guitar in chase s band brookville, , co-writing , producing tracks band, camera2.
