the spanish peaks scout ranch (spsr) located near walsenburg, colorado , borders spanish peaks wilderness. local council camp of santa fe trail council, boy scouts of america based out of garden city. camp gives program geared toward outdoor education such wilderness backpacking, climbing, , outdoor skills.


spanish peaks staff association

spanish peaks staff association (spsa) non-profit organization dedicated connecting current, former, , honorary staffers of spanish peaks scout ranch (spsr). organization formed like-minded staff alumni committed continued support of spsr , love of outdoor education youth. although spanish peaks staff association not alumni association members have worked scout camp , dedicated toward outdoor education youth.


purpose

the spanish peaks staff association, although still in infant stages, has adapted purposes of:



(a) demonstrating support spanish peaks scout ranch , continued value in future.
(b) providing vision , leadership spanish peaks scout ranch.
(c) raising volunteer , financial support spanish peaks scout ranch improvement endeavors.
(d) establishing endowment guarantee future stability of spsr independently of santa fe trail council operations.
(e) establishing endowment insures continued funding of full-time ranger @ spanish peaks scout ranch.
(f) providing forum past, present, , future staffers gather, share ideas, , stay in contact.
