the 2 air forces in asia, tenth air force , fourteenth air force, each had single bomb group. tenth s 7th bombardment group used checkerboard pattern in either black-and-white or black-and-yellow on rudder or part of tail fin identify squadrons. 308th bombardment group of fourteenth air force used colored or striped rudders.
the air commando groups used puncuation marks (!,?) in cbi while in feaf patterns consistent fifth air force style.
fighter groups, of vii fc, used colored tails geometric patterns. others used colored nose , tail combinations.
