an eight-week program, young women s leadership program introduces young girls principles embodied sigma lambda gamma. through series of exercises , activities designed them learn , each other along way, program facilitated members of local sigma lambda gamma alumnae associations serve mentors , role models participants throughout program , beyond. goal of program head start young girls provide them self-awareness , self-esteem them finish high school education , consider pursuing college degree upon graduation. program volunteer effort takes place outside of regular school day, sigma lambda gamma education foundation assist programs across country provide materials, transportation, food , other program costs facilitators , participants.
