on august 25, 2008, cast of season 7 announced, , hough partnered hannah montana actor cody linley. felt abdominal pains during jitterbug performance on october 27, 2008 , rushed hospital following encore performance. subsequently had surgery have appendix removed, causing miss several performances; edyta Śliwińska stood in her. hough returned show, although pair eliminated in semifinals competition. appeared on november 12 results show dancing jive great balls of fire brother design-a-dance contest.
