schneider born in pferdsfeld, germany in 1897, second of 3 sons born gustav-adolf schneider , elisabeth schnorr. had strong love mother , great respect father, pastor , ardent patriot. following military service in world war i, schneider began theological studies , ordained in hochelheim in 1925. following year, married margarete dieterich, daughter of pastor. in 1927, couple had first son, followed daughter , 4 more sons.
