the normal clotting process depends on interplay of various proteins in blood. coagulopathy may caused reduced levels or absence of blood-clotting proteins, known clotting factors or coagulation factors. genetic disorders, such hemophilia , von willebrand s disease, can cause reduction in clotting factors.


anticoagulants such warfarin prevent clots forming properly. coagulopathy may occur result of dysfunction or reduced levels of platelets (small disk-shaped bodies in bloodstream aid in clotting process).
