longs peak council of boy scouts of america headquartered in greeley, colorado. named after tallest peak in council territory, longs peak council serves scouting youth in northeastern colorado north of denver, southeastern wyoming , panhandle of western nebraska, , chartered bsa organize, extend, support, , control scouting program within exclusive territory. wyobraska council of scottsbluff merged longs peak council in 1973.


as pikes peak council, there officially no apostrophe in name, due ruling mountain board on geographic names.

camp charles jeffrey , soaring eagle feature number of summer program areas including rock climbing @ pancake climbing base , on of many peaks in camp, c.o.p.e. (challenging outdoor personal experience), shooting sports, scout skills, handicraft, , nature studies offered through traditional merit badge program. camp has scouting museum , chuck wagon cooking area traditional dutch oven meals prepared daily. scout units can choose between dining hall experience or patrol cook option meals cooked @ campsite.


elkhorn high adventure base open older scouts , venture crews week of backpacking rockies. backpacking treks of various difficulty levels offered on ranch property , in nearby routt, roosevelt, , arapahoe national forests. shooting sports, c.o.p.e, climbing , repelling, horse program , white water rafting activities round out week-long treks or 10-day-long super-treks.


jack nicol cub scout camp newest resident camp on ranch, completed in 2001. offers age appropriate programs not designed rank advancement. camp nicol consists of 3 major themed program areas (fort unfug, castle walker , everett seaport) , offers summer program featuring new camp-wide theme each year. 2014 theme time travel. program activities include bb gun , archery shooting, hiking, handicrafts, hiking, games , light parade around lake @ night.


ben delatour scout ranch includes summer camp , year-round camping, number of buildings available year-round use. ranch has been active site sustainable forestry , in 2011, ranch became protected future development through conservation easement conservation fund, longs peak council, , colorado state forest service.


chimney park scout camp

chimney park boy scout camp located in snowy range mountains, approximately 33 miles (53 km) west of laramie, wyoming on highway 230 , 6.4 miles (10.3 km) west of woods landing, wyoming. approximate coordinates cabin 41° 4 19.78 n 106° 6 29.2 w (nad83/wgs84).


chimney park boy scout camp offers year-round camping, winter camps, @ altitude 9,000 feet (2,700 m). winter snow depth varies typically 30 150 cm (1 5 feet), , winter daytime high temperatures varies typically -9 +7 °c (+15 +45 °f) winter nighttime low temperatures vary typically -26 0 °c (-15 +32 °f). lodge stove , fireplace available. lodge use must reserved through longs peak council office. there usage fee. see [1] more information.


camp laramie peak

camp laramie peak, @ base of black mountain near wheatland, wyoming, offers summer camp , year-round camping. purchased in 1920 group of volunteers wanting place take scouts in wilderness. rugged terrain, rambling brooks, , mountain backdrop offers troops place experience traditional camp experience including merit badge camp program. camp offers outstanding first year camper program, horseback riding, rock climbing, ziplines, mountain boarding , mountain biking.


hiking available in camp , in nearby medicine bow national forest, including top of laramie peak. elevation @ camp approximately 8,000 feet (2,400 m), , has summer temperatures range 40s @ night 90s during day.


camp patiya

camp patiya 30-acre camping , day use camp 7 miles west of boulder, colorado. camp patiya started camp fire girls. camp fire council purchased original twenty acres camp in 1960 , began holding group , family camps shortly thereafter. buildings on site constructed between 1963 , 1981. in 1977, additional ten acres of land donated, bringing camp present size. camp fire continued hold group camping year round , day camps in summers. in 1980s, membership in camp fire declined. in 1987, determined goals operating camp best met transferring ownership longs peak council, boy scouts of america.


the camp offers campsites, picnic areas, sheltered cooking sites, 2 cabins sleeping indoors, training , meeting areas both indoor , outdoor settings, plenty of room games , activity, , flush toilets.


kola lodge

kola lodge #464, chartered in 1951, serves 457 arrowmen of 2004. totem of lodge fire of friendship centered in gray arrowhead red feather in background, , name translates friend in lakota language. in 1973, kola lodge absorbed wiyaka luta #403 of wyo-braska council.
