the m1945 virtually same weapon additional small changes (different pattern bipod instead of m1933′s individually swiveling side-mounted bipod legs, front sight relocated on barrel point above gas cylinder, smooth pistol grip, perforated muzzle brake, etc.) , change in caliber .30-06 utilizing slightly-curved magazine.

the rm2 of 1955 simplified version reduced production costs differed predecessors. had fixed smooth barrel slash-cut slotted muzzle brake, simplified gas cylinder, different front , rear sights, less-raked handguard / foregrip, separate handguard , buttstock assemblies, side-mounted sling swivel on left side above , behind pistol grip, , straight sided magazine. more of heavy-barreled automatic rifle lmg, , not effective m1933 or m1945. not adopted general service.

final model. rm2 made shortly after world war 2 , chambered .30-06 (7.62×63mm) ammunition, adopted new standard mexican army during late 1940s. weapon light , dispensed quick-detachable barrel. never saw significant use outside mexico.
